Justice Death And Mercy Poem by Dorsey Baker

Justice Death And Mercy

Rating: 4.3

After so many years
Escaping justice
The old man
Is now ready to be hung
Ready to accept
The reward he has kept
Himself from

The old man
He is too weak to fight
He is too weak to run

The lawman
They will bring out the rope
And they will
Hang him from a tree
The old man is at peace with himself
Because death is his reward
And it will
Surely set him free
