Keep On Pushing Poem by Randy McClave

Keep On Pushing

This I say to you my Bonnie Lass
Remember indeed you are of a higher class,
Walk over the skurdys that's tossed in your path
And then let out a joyful, heartfelt laugh.
Oh yes! the times are sometimes very hard
And thoughts and memories are sometimes marred,
Instead of drinking from the botal, instead drink from a cup
And never surrender, or ever give up.
Always be cautious of the obstacles up ahead
But, don't meet or see them with feart or dread,
Greet them as though they are a long lost jo
One day again, each other you will know.
Always do better for yourself and always move strait
Many times shrubs hides the road that leads to the gate,
Sometimes a line isn't straight, but instead it is curved
It would be a great world, if everyone got what they deserved.
If you ever daunder through the prickly purple thistle
Or even through the glens where the birdies give a whistle,
Don't travel the through the tall rye with remorse or regret
Even if in the lochs, when you get your feet get quite wet.
Though you are going through a very hard time
Please! don't see yourself as a ned who committed a crime,
Don't ever commit yourself to an ambushing
Just always remember, to always keep on pushing.
