Keep Rolling On Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Keep Rolling On

Rating: 5.0

You said that love could never be
that the past was gone
theirs' nothing left anymore
now you have to move on
that you met somebody new
time to say good-bye
now don't you cry

That's when my world changed
made me something I'm not
but I look in a mirror
I'm still me
or have you forgot
I'm who I was before

Someday you will think of me
wondering if I'll be okay
but I'll be far behind
just a climpse in the sun
while the miles' keep rolling on

I'm living in a world so rearranged
still loving you
and everything you do
thought I could never make it through
a love that was never true

Now the jester and the clown
you still see them play
while the ace runs wild
where the king stands alone
staring at his throne
and the queen and the jack
waiting for a train
that is'nt coming back
lost like a little child

Now these days I still miss her
does'nt seem to get any clearer
I hear the echo of her name
in this endless rain
a thousand miles' away from home
trying not to let it bring me down
here on this lonely highway
still the miles' keep rolling on
(spiritwind-2002)

You 'Keep rolling on by' to let the wound heal and let go of the painful past. Touching.
