Sacrifice and redemption! I think |Kerouac feels very, very good about this verse. Fantastic verse, Richard.

Sacrifice and redemption was what his life was all about! He struck me as someone who believed in serving his country, but had a moral issue with killing in war. M.J., your responses to this poem, and the series, make me feel very, very good! Merci beaucoup, mon ami!
