If I could see you just once more...
I would hug you so today's more
Brevity at its best. The two simple lines suggest so much. So very touching and moving. A reader could be reduced to tears. To my favorites.
Poetess Friend, A Heartfelt Thank You for such a heartwarming response! And for having sent this one to your favourites!
To reduce a reader to her/his tears is one of the highest forms of flattery for a poet. It is especially such a huge compliment for me because I've been investing so much time and energy into The Kerouac Venture.

A lost opportunity and the realization that sometimes there are no second chances...You really have tapped into Kerouac's psyche here, Richard. Brilliant!
M.J., your continued very positive constructive criticism is a pillar of strength for me! Don't even know where to begin to THANK YOU! ! !
Tragically, Kerouac didn't capitalize on the second chance that he had with his daughter. Tapping into Kerouac's psyche intensifies the pain that they both endured. It moves me to tears...and it's a huge motivator to continue with the work that needs to be done!
