What the hell happened last night?
Stars didn't shine in the sky
Full moon was lost on the wolves
Like Van Gogh... heart was broken
I can see this forbidding darkness! Brevity at its best, my friend. Superb imagery. To my favorites.
2) Rose Marie, thanks so very much for your great feedback. And for having added this one to your favourites.
That 'forbidding darkness' is quite eerie. But absolutely necessary to the development of The Kerouac Venture. The imagery is inspired by Geeta Menon's brilliant Van Gogh book. The brevity astonishes me because I used to write lengthy poems.

I would like to translate this poem
Like Van Gogh....heart was broken. Wonderful! He is such an inspiration. His suffering is our suffering.
2) Just like Christ's suffering is our suffering. It's what we do with that suffering that can make or break us. Fortunately, we poets have a positively constructive outlet. Others aren't so fortunate.
Happy that you believe the poem to be wonderful, Nosheen. Geeta's Van Gogh book had inspired this poem. And some others. She, Van Gogh and Kerouac are huge inspirations for me. And you're absolutely right about the suffering!
