Kerouac Lives - 469

Rating: 5.0

The black dog's biting now...
Ginsberg's howling at moon
Big Sur's keeping me sane...

I've wondered what Kerouac would think of today's youth, politics, culture and society were he here now. I think you have an answer in this verse. This poem is a gem, Richard.

3) cont'd: M.J., I've compacted a lot into this succinct poem, so, I'm very happy that you believe it to be a 'gem'!

2) cont'd: Because of his background, it would be interesting to see his stance on Canada becoming the 51st state.

I think, just like with the hippies, he would have hated it all. Although he didn't vote back then, I think he would have voted today to keep out autocrats like Trump.

Very compelling images that make indelible marks in the mind. So poignant yet so beautiful poetic expressions. A masterstroke, Richard!

This type of very positive constructive criticism not only makes me happy, but more importantly, it truly validates The Kerouac Venture! A World of Thanks, Rose Marie!
