Kerouac's Haunting

His blue eyes haunt me
Like desert's mirage
His soul beckons me
And my entourage

Richard, this really reminds me of a great book....I can't recall the exact title. I think Kerouac's Ghost. It is amazing how influential Kerouac was. Indeed his ghost does haunt writers. And the legacy is an interesting one. I've always wondered why so many people influenced by Kerouac deal with the theme of guilt. A great poem, Richard.

Especially Catholics! Being Catholic myself, the nuns made us feel guilty about almost every single thing. M.J., in this poem, Jack is being haunted by his brother Gerard (in a good way) .
