Some knots, I think, just survive for years but, if exposed to too much 'inclement weather', they weaken and rot and fall to pieces. I usually don't use symbolism. ;)

That's for sure! ! ! But I THOUGHT I was going to be reading the first of your poems from PH. This one certainly in NOT your first.
