Land Of The Free - A Pantoum Poem by John Knight

Land Of The Free - A Pantoum

Rating: 2.8

Come with me to the 'Land of the Free'
Where never a cross word is spoken
Come with me and you will see
Joy and peace and no heart broken.

Where never a cross word is spoken
Where all is sweetness and light
Joy and peace and no heart broken
And the moon will shine brightly each night.

Where all is sweetness and light
Where love for each neighbour is shown
And the moon will shine brightly each night
Where we speak face-to-face not by phone.

Where love for each neighbour is shown
Come with me and you will see
Where we speak face-to-face not by phone
Come with me to the 'Land of the Free'.

Every dream is for the dawn of a paradise where humanity lives in harmony...The paradise exists in such poems......and in the depths our heart resides divinity.....great work sir

John this was a very good poem. I though I rarely do, writing in form is very rewarding when it can express what you want others to hear. You seem to have a gift for doing just that keep it up. A 10 in my book.

Such a great pantoum begins with an invitation and ends with it. An interesting play of verses forming the final masterpiece. It's a great poem John..Cristina Teodor
