Laudable Compulsion (Jabr-E Mahmud) Poem by Sadiqullah Khan

Laudable Compulsion (Jabr-E Mahmud)

Muddam, muddam –the continual,
Drips the wine in the veins streams
Laudable compulsions are the riddles
Discern the space and time’s factor.
Sharper than sword is ‘waqt’, (Time)
From the past drift or future float.
O son of time, the Nowness is at hand,
Be split like a neutron halved.
