Laughing Through Sadness

She touched our souls
In so many ways
She laughed through sadness
Made us cry with joy
Karen on our mind
Making all of us find
One good thing about ourselves
In such darkening sadness
Crazy how she touched
Pieces of our hearts
Made us laugh made us cry
And puzzled our lives

There are some such people who are extremely gifted to have the strength to laugh through sadness and making others feel puzzled and awed! I don't know who Karen is, but I have begun to admire her! I assume she now lives only in memory!
Valsa, thank you for those beautiful words in her memory. Karen was definitely one of a kind. She recently died of cancer and we he held a special wake for her. At the wake, I had written this poem for her. For a better insight, please read Karen On Her Mind which will made into a song. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
