' law takes its own course '
is an adage, all agree;
but lawyers are coarse
if, law in hands, they feel free
to indulge in fistfight spree.
hope law takes its course,
errant lawyers get punished
and express remorse;
in future, to police, polish
they will display, is our wish.
Lawyers taking law in their hand is witnessed many times. It was wrong on the part of judiciary to jump to the conclusion based on what they said. Legal and judiciary reforms are long overdue. And what is the contribution of lawyers in the justice? Twisting facts, saving a culprit because he has offered huge fees, delay justice on one pretext or another, and the like. High time they get the taste of justice. Very topical poem.
It is unfortunate that the police who tried to enforce law on the lawyer was ill treated. Demanding apology, the police have gone on a public demonstration. Whether a lawyer or a lay man, miscreants should be punished. If they take law in their hands, the state should intervene. Avery sensible reaction to a recent issue.
