LAYING UP TREASURES IN
HEAVEN!
If with one hand we give and with the other
we take,
How do we come to know the points we finally
make?
If our right hand doesn’t know what the left
one does, -
Let Him keep the final tally for all of us!
Since nothing we can take with us we know,
And everything must be left behind after this
show, -
Let us give magnanimously with time’s flow!
Storing up treasures in heaven and not leaving
them behind!
For there moths don’t corrupt and thieves can’t
find, -
Like those earthly treasures which rot with time!
