*fly Me To The Moon! Poem by RAJ NANDY

*fly Me To The Moon!

Rating: 3.0

FLY ME TO THE MOON!
Fly me to the moon, despite what
people say,
It is a cold and barren place, where
all life is dead!
For there from their golden palace, -
Artemis and Diana rules; *
And I will see their beauteous face,
During my visit to the moon!

There I can jump around, with nothing
to pin me down!
And with a single sprightly step, I can
travel a mile ahead!
As if floating in a dream, I will fly over
craters and hills!
In abandon gaiety, - free from tugs of
gravity!

*Greek Artemis, the Roman Diana = are moon goddess!
A lyrical verse written in a lighter vein!
