Learning To Fly(For Dearest Darling Angie) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Learning To Fly(For Dearest Darling Angie)

Rating: 5.0

Some old
Chinese guy

wrote that
a poet

“Only suffers
writing poems...”

“...better...”
(he observed)

“...to spend your time
learning to fly.”

And so

“...concentrating
the sea of Heaven

in the inch space
of the heart...”

I fly.

I fly!

For Angie ‘cos she can
soar above everything and everyone.

And oh... she’s such a sweetheart.

I love that description of poetry...and that's just what Angie does and does so well. “...concentrating the sea of Heaven in the inch space of the heart...” Queen Angie...long may she reign! She flies....she flies!

I am in complete agreement on three things: (1) the pain of writing at times, (2) the joy and beauty and FREEDOM of flight, and, best of all, (3) Angie is one super gal!
