Let Me Be The Tin Man Poem by Donna Nimmo

Let Me Be The Tin Man

Rating: 4.3

Don’t let me rust, just keep me oiled
Wouldn’t need much, can’t be spoiled
Would let me live my life on earth
To the end of time from birth

Never looking back to what if
No warm blood, just cold and stiff
Not needing any others at all
No more feelings to take a fall

No blaming me, no blaming you
No heart breaking or feeling so blue
Maybe I can come back without a heart
No rules or issues from my new start

I’ll be mechanical, no expectations
Not feel good or bad sensations
Oh yes I’ll come back as a tin man
May not happen but it would be a nice plan!
