Lethal! Deliberate Acts Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Lethal! Deliberate Acts

Lethal!
Deliberate acts taken by anyone,
Using a recently sharpened ax...
To a rooted family tree.
For the purpose to slowly destroy,
The integrity of it.
And their ability to continue,
To grow and prosper.
Killing the proof,
Of them having any established roots...
Too.

Lethal!
A bitter black widow,
Spinning a deadly web.
To entrap her own offspring.
Feeding them a brew,
Of poisonous venom.
Then belittle what they do.
With a mix of lies to them fed to feed.
Until this spreads to their heads.
To accept and believe.
Everything this black widow says.
Even saying she wished them dead.

Lethal!
Are specific innuendos to dispense.
As a treating of momentos,
Kept but left yet make no sense.
Building into rumors.
And on streets freely released.
Few are concerned about the tastelessness.
More chew on the possibilities imagined.
Incredible how quick,
Something fictioned becomes seen.
As if to feel its touch.
Oh...
How much their minds,
Have been messed up.

And lethal!
Is an injection of deception.
So complete is its dishonesty.
As truth and the proof of it,
Becomes buried under layers...
Of freshly laid concrete.
Unbelievably lethal AND legalized.
Deliberately.
With eyes wide open.
Approving their own undoing.
A malfeasance to disease and justify,
This dictated authorization.
For a self defeating far from being kept discreet.
