Lie Her In A Fire - Poem by Julia Connell

And in The still of the night
apon an open fire
the girl melts away
because the truth is
shes a lier

and she goes on and on
about what it and one day
and she hopes and dreams
that someone sees it her way

and as the fire goes on
shes thinking of you
she doesnt want to die
she wants to be true

and as the blade rises up
ever so sweet
she goes and says good bye
and realizes
that wasnt a lie

and she calls and she crys
'i love you, I hate him'
'i want to die'
and you know that wasnt a lie

And you know Then and there
as the fire goes out
with her hopes and dreams
she dies out

and she lies with a frown
with her throat pierced with led
the girl you once new
is now lieing dead

And in the still of the night
apon an open fire
the girl melts away
because the truth is shes a lier
