Daniele Pinna

Life - Poem by Daniele Pinna

The first sunrise;
the first moon;
the last sought freedom:
the sight of you.

The first love made on the lake;
the last letter that kept me awake.

The first minute lost;
the second on the count.
Winters without frost;
summers lost and found.

Fights made for friends;
dreams blown from sight;
duels lost with fate:
casualties raked by life.

Days by luck overseen;
nights spent feeling blue.
Destiny and its subtleties:
that's life, what else is new...
