Life Keeps Telling Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Life Keeps Telling

Life keeps telling all to live so beautifully
as the air keeps blowing all so clean
the water keeps flowing all so pure in the streams,
the plants and leaves look green forever and ever
with flowers of varied colors to enhance the nature.

yet some choose to live happily and in peace
some choose to live wickedly and sullenly,
words from lips keep insisting reform and rectification
yet when one chooses to follow the wrong trend of dignity
he takes his own respect and valor to a marketplace
where unknowingly he displays his unworthiness.

Man forever aspires for dreams and dignity
when he fails, he resorts to sin, crime or theft
knowing that what he gains falsely
he will answer and pay for it with
some punishment or retribution in the end.

Yet those who escape from jaws of corrections
they stumble and fall on the backlash of betrayal
hurting their own souls to irretrievable levels
that the only destination they reach is either
to the deepest depths of shame and hostility
or they survive in unhappiness and endless greed.

Yes, life keeps telling all to live so beautifully
as the air keeps blowing all so clean
the water keeps flowing all so pure in the streams,
the plants and leaves look green forever and ever
with flowers of varied colors to enhance the nature.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In disrupting other's peace, one disrupts one's own peace and it makes one forget to live a life of wonderfulness and peace which this world offers steadily and willingly. CORRECT DECISIONS LEAD TO A CORRECT LIFE.
