Life's Meaning Poem by Godfrey Morris

Life's Meaning

I have lived a good life.
Not by wealth nor wild pleasures
But by the seemingly insurmountable obstacles
That were made surmounted.

My adventure was never smooth
one
Dreams lost only to be replaced by opportunity.
It is through the struggle my joy is found.
Knowing I've made my better Angeles proud

And although much of this is
Devoid of recognition
My character forever esteemed.
Memories will live
And time will be a friend.

While there is no 'ultimate meaning', an appreciation of current experience is fleetingly rewarding.
