Life Vs. Life Poem by Cecilia Skopec

Life Vs. Life

Rating: 5.0

One's death could be,
another one's life.
Although, thoughts must flow.
Paths are strong,
making decisions weak.
One, being whole.
Two, being seperate.
One, being selfish.
Two, saving lives.
'Choose' rings through a mind,
while gripping at one's heart.
The part will not be needed.
So what's the fuss?
Beaneth lies deep,
the connection that explains all.
Something that has helped.
Something that beats.
Something that loves.
Would you give it up?
Viewing thing from the other side,
just might make you change your mind.
Look into the eyes of that other life.
Can you deny the existence,
over your greed.
The innocence in those eyes
speak gentle words.
Making you change the direction
of your footprints; ending your time.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Wow! This is beautiful too! I'm always torn on this subject because one the one hand I don't think anyone has the right to the life of any other creature be it a human or an animal. But on the other hand, I think that the human population is too large and I think that something should be done about it, so when things like wars happen, I get mixed feelings. This really does make me feel more for the first one, but I'm still torn. Great poem, though! As you can see, it really made me think!

The fluency of continuity is well lit in this poem with different patterns of life and a comparison in between different facets.....10/10
