Like A Pebble Tossed Into A Pond Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Music is the element through which
the mystic lovely conveys.

Didactic tone and vocabulary
becomes foreign
to his needs of communication.

It is simple intuition
that comes so natural to him
than speculative analysis.

The effect of music or a poem
is like that of a pebble tossed
into a pond that sets in motion
ever widening circles spiraling
out from the point of contact.

Music is a sanctuary for the heart and soul to rejoice, cry, smile, tears and our memories that become so vivid with the beat of the music, the beat of the life we have lived! Superb write!

Tony, the title which expresses the image found in your final stanza brings to mind a poem of mine. It has nothing to do with music, but it does have to do with a jolt of illumination. The title is, Message fro Beside a Sphinx. -Glen

The proverbial stepping pebble approach is linear, rigid, and predefined. We are like those ''pebbles'' that are tossed into the waters of life to make ''ripples'' that spread out to have, sometimes, a huge impact We share our faith with others while praying and while loving all around, especially our enemies. We are living pebbles to make Churches, we are thinking pebbles needing flesh hearts to feel a peaceful, wonderful world. 10
