Like An Airplane - Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Take off like an airplane,
Going to your destination;
Endure the turbulence
Of trial and tribulation.

Don't take a nosedive,
Like a crashing aircraft;
Headfirst fall is not a joke,
But the devil will surely laugh.

Keep your wings weather-proof,
Stay strong against the wind;
Reach the safe landing place,
Get ready to soar once again.

Let the Lord God be the pilot
Who will lead you toward bliss;
Firmly fasten your seatbelt,
Never break your solemn promise.

On board a commercial jet,
With ticket bound for Lebanon;
Seeking the greener pasture,
Waiting for the new dawn.

Look at the earth below,
While you're flying in the lane;
Now you're up, later you're down,
Life is like an airplane.
