Like Red-Hot Lava, A Spanish Poem By Maria Clara Sharupi Jua In Hindi/Urdu Translation

hawa k pankhoN par
suraya purav se aaya
beej ugay, lafaz bun gaye
roshni le aayey din main
hey mere mehboob

main teri rooh ko
apni shabnam k pani main dhona chahti hoon
meri shabnum k sur main jo aata hai
vo kabhi na mujhe bhool pata hai

sagar ki lehron ko jo shanti deti hi
main vo hawa ban-na chahti hoon
haath jo jawalamukhi ko pyaar se cHootay hain
main vo haath ban-na cHahti hoon
tumare lafzon ki aag ko bujhana chahti hoon
buri aatma ko zehar dena chahti hoon
teri ankhn main bachon ke aansu dekh kar
lal jaltay lavay ki tarah main ubarna chahti hoon
aur ek rultay huay pathar ko jal kar
tumari namkeen bahaoN main aana chahti hoon

main chahti hoon waqat ek dum thum ho jaye
hum dono nayay rastay pe chal payeN
main ek garam phawara ban-na chahti hoon
tumari rooh jo pyaar main tarasti hai
us ki pyaas ko bujana chahti hoon.

The following is an English translation of the
original poem in Spanish: Como lava candente
by the Ecuadorian poet MARIA CLARA SHARUPI JUA

Like Red-Hot Lava

The sun travelled from the East[1]
on its wings of wind
the seeds sprout
becoming words
to light up this day
my beloved

I want to bathe your soul
in the dew of my waters
an alphabet of vowels
where one enters and is never forgotten

I want to be the wind
to appease the raging waves of the sea
hands that caress the volcano
and douse the fire of your words
Poison to calm the wrath of Iwia[2]
the tears that fill your childlike eyes
revealing myself and erupting like red-hot lava
to roll like a stone turned to fire
into your salty arms

I want to be time stood still
to take a new path together
to be the hot spring
that quenches the thirst of your soul
that drinks in the secrets of Arutam[3]
