Like You Are Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Like You Are

Rating: 5.0

In yr silence of my thoughts
You are still chewing me out
Or refusing to take yr medication
I know you're gonr
However, in my mind, you're still there
In yr housedress, eating a toasted bagel
And cup a tea that I prepared
Watching Dr. Phil or Jerry Springer
As we both were thinking what are we watching?
These shows were stupid and unreal
But there was nothing else on
I can't watch them now
For they are also gone
They are only memories
Like you are

2) I still find it hard to believe that Jerry Springer had worked as a political campaign advisor for RFK.

It doesn't really matter what's on the tube that counts. It's the bonding that's most important. And as always, you've expressed that so beautifully in this heart-warming poem.
