Lingering Beauty Of A Tiny Dew Drop
A tiny dew drop
Lives as long as it holds on
To a hanging leaf,
To a blade of grass,
To a sheaf of paddy,
Or sits on a flower petal,
And what a beauty it beholds
To the gazing eyes of an onlooker!
But alas! As it trickles down,
It meets the earth and dies.
A life so short lived,
Yet how long lasting an image
It leaves behind!
The beauty lingers in the eyes forever!

A dew drop hangs in a graceful and courageous way as it hangs on to a leaf creating a sparkle on a dull day! Beautiful write!

Beautiful quote in the Poet's Note, but I find your poem equally beautiful in its image of that tiny drop of dew. Your image is lingering in my mind and that is a true test of a poem. 10++++++++++++
