We humans do not own the planet Earth.
We are just one of the species,
Of the millions that inhabit the Earth,
Of which only fifteen per cent
We have been able to discover and describe.
So we should live in harmony
With the biological diversity
We are blessed with.
Each of the species must be left
To their native environs, undisturbed, unscathed.
All that we attempt to do otherwise,
We would do at our own peril.
Mother Nature is a strict judge;
She wouldn't forgive a wrong doer
Who dares to push others to the edge of extinction.

What a beautiful message to humanity. It serves as a wake up call to everyone. It must be Poem of the Day. " Mother Nature is a strict judge" Brilliant line from a very perceptive write.
Thank you, Rose Marie for quoting a line from my poem and appreciating it. Got inspired a lot by your picking the line and appreciating it. 'It must be Poem of the Day' - Alas! That was not to be, but my heartfelt thanks for the commendation. Hope, you will visit my poems a few more times, they wait for readers like you.
Mankind on earth! ! ! Musing along, Living and learning always. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Indeed now we are in peril partly because of our own doing! We never give enough space to other live forms. We recklessly destroy the pristine quality of Nature by polluting our surroundings..! Let us learn a lesson from the catastrophic explosion of the pandemic to love Nature, love our fellow beings with all the flora and fauna. A beautiful poem with a fine message!
Thanks for elaborating on my poem through your insightful comment, @Valsa George. Much inspired by your enlightening words.
