Lion's Breath- Pleasant Or Unpleasant? A Found Poem For Children

Rating: 5.0

Once a short tempered lion ruled a forest
One day his wife told him about his bad breath

On that the king felt embarrassed and angry
That with others he wanted it to verify

He summoned three animals and sheep came first
'Tell me if my mouth smells bad'..lion asked fast

The sheep uttered too honest words'Yes Majesty
There's something wrong with your breath badly'

This plainspeak infuriated the lion to kill the sheep
Then it was the wolf's turn to meet his fate's sweep

Seeing the sheep's fate now the wolf was cautious
He said 'Your breath is as sweet as the smell of roses'

Disliking the flattering reply the lion finished him next
The coughing onlooker fox was the lion's choice next best

He turned to the fox with the same question
Clearing his throat replied the fox hastened

'O king, due to a bad cold, I can't smell anything,
Pleasant or unpleasant.. for that matter anything'

The lion spared the fox's life not getting an apt reply
The fox was cunning and escaped with his wise reply

Sometimes it's wise to stay away from certain situations
Like the fox did to flee from his dangerous situation
