Little One, Go To Sleep Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Little One, Go To Sleep

Rating: 5.0

Softly you sleep without my aid,
With yr eyes gently closed
There was a time when you couldn't sleep
And I had to tell you stories of my life you to go,
But I had run out of stories
Then, I made stories about little green men from Mars,
That fought the bad earthlings who came,
And tried to take over
You quite enjoy them at first
However, you started having bad dreams; so, I stopped
Then, I tried dragons because you watch a move about them
Again, you began to get frightened
You then suddenly went to sleep on yr own
Because you are not little anymore

Story telling is so good for children but it can be quite confusing which stories to choose. The dilemma of a mother is so beautifully illustrated. Parenting can be really tough. An honest depiction of raising a child. Simply Superb!
