Living In Hell Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Living In Hell

Rating: 5.0

What do you do when reality sets in?
You are a devout believer in avoiding sin
The euphoria has ebbed
Vows have been enabled
You are settled in your home
Calling each other hubby and hon
Then you realise you made a mistake
Life bland like a plain milk shake

Do you cheat?
Do you accept defeat?
Wallow in self pity, be depressed?
Or seek some redress?
Do you walk away?
To your partner do you say?
Accept the fights and shouts?
Or talk your way out?

It's not an enviable position
Depending on your disposition
To survive the tempest
With powerful temptresses
Life being very short
Is it better to bailout and abort?
Than living in hell?
Under a false spell

What would you do?
I know what i did do
No regrets
Did the best
And you?
Yes YOU?
