Living In Self-Centered Spontaneity Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Living In Self-Centered Spontaneity

Rating: 4.6

A personalism that has
nothing to offer
but evasion, will not
be a genuine personalism,
since it destroys the
relationships without
which the person
cannot truly develop.

The idea that one can
seriously cultivate his
own personal freedom
merely by discarding
inhibitions and obligations,
to live in self-centered
spontaneity, results
in the complete decay
of the true self and of
it's capacity for freedom.

A wonderful necessary comment about this very issue which dismounts charity and tolerance. Thank you for your profound thoughts, Paul

Powerful reflection on negative freedom (freedom from) versus positive freedom (freedom to become) . Negative freedom is often merely just an illusion of freedom. True freedom is to be found in the freedom to actualize one's potential in an unfettered becoming through others and in the inward journey. Nicely penned.
