Loneliness Ain't Solitude Poem by Ravi Kopra

Loneliness Ain't Solitude

Rating: 5.0

Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is richness of self.
-May Sarton

Loneliness expresses the pain of being alone and solitude expresses the glory of being alone.
-Paul Tillich

Loneliness is the emptiness of soul
you have no co-ordinates in the world
lost, you wander and meet other loners
as empty as yourself. And so loneliness
nurtures loneliness to pain of nothingness...

Solitude is the richness of soul
you reflect, meditate, enrich yourself
you do not suffer and know your inner self
and enjoy the glory of being alone and
/or being with others like your self...
