Lonely Nights In Texas Poem by Paula Glynn

Lonely Nights In Texas

Rating: 5.0

Night sky twinkling diamond stars
Mystery beyond our earth
Star gazers imagining with awe
All these magical night stars
Seen and admired before
No one wanting morning to arrive

Roads virtually empty
Of the sane
The night highway
Dangerous for anyone
With a reputation
That could potentially stain
Them for wanting a one night stand

Because those wild men
At the busy bars of night
Men drinking beer
And playing snooker
Watching those honeys
Serving them their beer and other drinks
Holding back not part of the night

For the lone traveller
Knowing the lonely nights of Texas
A traveller knowing the desire
Of every beautiful honey
Residing in the blue hotel
Wanting that passion: that fire

Every night with that wild man
To be exciting precisely because it is obscene
That pulse inducing
Into Molten Lava in the veins
Where no two hearts are the same
Blood flowing like fire through veins

Women to frequent that blue hotel
A place all wild men know well
On their travels around the USA
Women who'll never kiss and tell
But the night sky comes alive
And the night sky always brings
Erotic passion and a magical surprise.

Wow! I savored this passion-packed slice of finest art with a conscious tinge of gratitude…describing a typical Texan night with perfectly sense-activating phrases and most vivid figurative tropes~~~Kudos!
