Looking Into A Mirror Poem by Randy McClave

Looking Into A Mirror

Rating: 5.0

Look into a mirror what do you see,
Is it lying, cheating and guilt
From which sin and pain are built,
When I look, I see only me.
There is no thief, bully, cheat or crook,
When in the very same mirror I look.

Look into a mirror what do you behold,
Is it worries, and judgement and hate
That has become your normality and saddened trait,
Is it once again ready to unfold.
As you look into the mirror,
Does it truly become your seer.

Look into a mirror what do you observe,
Do you see another scheme or a con
While you put your makeup on,
Do you have enough cosmetics and nerve.
When you decidedly apply your coat of lipstick,
Do pucker your lips for another lie or trick.

Look into a mirror what did you view,
Do you see pity and hate and revenge
Or maybe yourreputation you wanna avenge,
Look there, and you will see only you.
On the mirror you can use cloths for the grime to erase,
But, clean as you must you're still looking upon your face.

Look into a mirror what did you spy,
Is it lust and greed and evil and sin
That you see to use and to do others in,
Do you finally see it with your very own eye.
When you look into mirror, actresses, liars you see,
When I look into a mirror, I see only me.
