Lora's Nighttime Songs, Accompanied By Tears....[ My Responsive Poem Tolora Colon's " Songs And Flowers "; Short; Humor? ]

Some nights I think I've heard your screeching;
it's then my mate begins her beseeching....
to have me shut the windows and rub her back,
and go outside searching for the yowling cat.

It's then my ears lead me to your upstairs window,
stumbling over each farmer's fence and windrow.
But I wisely keep myself at a reasoned distance,
though your songs entrance ** with their insistence!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I like to "poke fun at" some of my friend Lora's fine poems.Her poem "Songs And Flowers" has an intricate rhyme pattern and, as usual, is well-written and compelling.

She may think my response is poorly-written and smelling! !
