Los Dos Diablos Poem by David N. Degnan

Los Dos Diablos

Rating: 5.0

Lights flashing,
Swords clashing.
Blood pouring on the ground.
We fight for what’s left of the town.
Children crying,
Everywhere, people dying,
Flames burn so bright
As screams are heard through the night.

Two warriors,
One home.
Both fighting
For the throne.
Bloody deaths,
Hushed breaths,
Lives taken
Whilst the Earth is shaken.

Old friends,
Now fighting.
Flames of hatred
Now igniting.
The Master says
With an evil laugh,
“Here written,
Your epitaph.”

Fate’s grim,
Chance of survival, slim.
Decisions, hard to make
With life itself lays at stake.
Though nothing matters,
For future’s gone.

Life itself,
Turned a wrong.
Passed by,
have days.
With warriors locked
in this maze.

“As you know,
We are brothers.
Lived our lives,
Unlike any others.”

This is proof of when souls connect.. you both have the same vision and anything you add to another's words, just connects as one. Great work guys... looking for a sequel!

This sound like it needs a sequel, blood brothers. Beautiful collaboration... especially if you consider that a few short years ago, you wanted to throw rocks at each others' heads. Ah, kindergarteners, can't live with'em, can't sell'em... Love my boys, may you live forever as the best of friends. From, the proud momma.
