Love: The Promise (Radha-40) Poem by Subrat Pradhan

Love: The Promise (Radha-40)

You had promised me to come
With the tingling sound of the moments
On your feet
With the warmth of any morning
Stopping the time
Amidst the sounds of dry leafs on land
Behind the new pink leaves
Dodging the eyes of the lover boy, the bee
Swimming aside the aroma of flowers

You had promised to visit me
Lest you mistook the path in the morning fog
Lest you got dragged by the suspicious whirlwind
Lest your soft body got a sunstroke
Lest you got weakened with your comimg
Lest the news got spread far and wide
Lest your feet going back in shame

You had promised to visit me
This moment this day
The time for the meeting
Lest you lost your way
Lest the time elapsed away
Lest the queensi bed didi not let you go
Fitting your eyes with drowsiness
Filling your body with laziness
Whatever it may be
I know
Everything gets jumbled up
At the moment of mating
You know
The base of ladder and the mouth of the snake
In the game board of life.
