Love: The Throne Of The Heart (Radha-47) Poem by Subrat Pradhan

Love: The Throne Of The Heart (Radha-47)

When you ascend the throne of my heart
And reign
Penetrating me
I wish you to remain
There till the ages.

When you embrace me tight
The thoughts which flashes my mind
Are not retained for ever
But do you remember the names today
Which you had given me
During your intense embrace /

Sometimes you have pounded on my chest
Sometimes you have gone away from me, annoyed
And so you have drenched my chest with your tears
Sometimes you have wiped my whole body
You had known
That I was not yours
Still you have accepted me
Leaving everybody in the background.

This is an intense poem about the struggle to find love. It offers conflicting images - reigning the throne of hearts and yet pounding the chest. I felt that some lines like wiping the whole body were not in symmetry with the rest of the poem. However a lovely result.
