As well as strife,
There are joys in life,
Think of them when you're feeling sad,
For each event,
That you repent,
The good times will outweigh the bad.

Among the masses,
When someone passes,
We tend to be so unforgiving,
For their life of beauty,
Make it your duty,
To celebrate their achievements while living.

When you feel lost,
It comes at a cost,
To loved ones, you tend to be curt,
Lift that boulder,
Lean on a shoulder,
Believe me, it will ease the hurt.

Being positive lifts,
It's but one of our gifts,
Being negative, only hurts and destroys,
Yes, it's true,
It's all up to you,
When down, just think of life's joys.

It's easy to quit,
But you'd have to admit,
There's reward in you moving on,
Put up a fight,
Things will come right,
You'll smile, when you see that new dawn.

Give life your all,
Whenever you fall,
Pick yourself up from despair,
It has to be said,
There are good times ahead,
