when we were young
we roam fields free
we hunt frogs, quail
that's lunch for all
clams on river beds
plentiful for picking
wild fowl eggs many

where are they now
fence all around me
we outgrow those time
I to grocery for food
over half of my salary
I am hard up for billing
yet I am happy living
