ഉയരെ മരച്ചില്ലയിൽ കാണാം
കറുകറുത്തുള്ള കാക്കയെ
കർണകഠോരമതു പാടുന്നൂ.
എന്നാലതിൻ കറുത്ത നോട്ടത്തിൻ മായാജാലം
പിടിച്ചു നിർത്തുന്നുവോ നമ്മെ?
തുറിച്ചു നോക്കുന്നൂ-
ആരു നാമെന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചുപോകുന്നുവോ?
മരക്കൊമ്പിലിരിക്കും കറുപ്പേ,
എനിക്കായ് ഒന്നു കൂടി പാടൂ
കർണാരുന്തുദം നിൻ ഗാനം.
