Malignant Entitlements Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Malignant Entitlements

Who is it that really suffers.
For hoarding an abundance of ignorance.
Stockpiled until it overflows.
Could it be those taunted and teased.
Living to please,
The ones inflicted...
With selfish and diseased minds.
And just who is it being left behind,
In times when technology.
Has advanced to stages.
Assisted by implemented artificial intelligence.
Replacing steadfast ignorance.
Regardless who has been addicted,
To aged racist beliefs.
And who represents created images to idolize.
Gone unrecognized to identify as being human.
