My lips too clean
To swallow the diseases
Of a human soul
They carry too much waste
I'd rather put them
Onto a wall and paste
Let history keep
What man has come to show
A solid matter
You just don't want to know
Living amongst images
Full of ideas
Their thoughts are full of fears
For man is a beast
Who only looks for a feast
To invest and digest
The whole of this Earth
Now I've come to believe
Only the animals have more worth
This poem is proud, a bit angry, and speaks truth from clean lips. :) Thanks for this, Suzan. Martha
Since Patrick pointed out the poem's more powerful lines, then I shall have place some emphasis on the following: 'What man has come to show / A solid matter / You just don't want to know.' A solid effort, Suzan. Can't argue with your sentiments on the beast known as human. Kindest regards, Greg
A strange yet powerful and somehwhat angry poem, 'For man is a beast Who only looks for a feast To invest and digest The whole of this Earth' I really enjoyed these simple but true lines. Patrick

Suzan, Does this mean that you too have found that dogs are the best people that you have ever met? B.V.A.
