Mangal Pandey Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Mangal Pandey

Today we remember Mangal Pandey, a man so brave and true,
Whose fiery spirit and courage still inspire us anew.
He stood against the British, and their oppressive reign,
And fought for India's freedom, a noble and just campaign.

It was in the year of 1857, when Mangal Pandey took his stand,
He refused to bow to tyranny, he took his life in his own hand.
With his comrades by his side, they rose against the Crown,
And fought with all their might, until they brought the enemy down.

His name is now legendary, a symbol of India's fight,
For independence and justice, for what is good and right.
On this day of remembrance, we pay tribute to his name,
And pledge to continue his legacy, with honor and with fame.
