Masticate Poem by D.N. Rebb

Masticate

Rating: 5.0

Masticate this declaration
Part of this new generation
What was once frowned upon,
A new lifestyle since born

Masticate the lack of babies
We just want to smell the daisies
Selfishly count our coins,
And not share our tech toys

Masticate the cost of housing
Dreaming through redundant browsing
Takes three pays to survive
Slim left for a hale life

Masticate full retirement
At eighty-one, why so urgent?
Zilch in the bank account
Tax man gives no discounts

Masticate mild depression
Are you afraid of that question?
Denial, wrong foot forth
Secrets left to unearth

Masticate free society
Audit this fake sobriety
Through huge empty pockets
Since androids sparked job cuts
