May The Redemptive Power Poem by Gary James Smith

May The Redemptive Power

May The Redemptive Power

May the redemptive power of the Cross
Lord be evident in my life
May my witness be a testimony
As a result of a crucified life
Not my will but thine be done
May my heart be obedient to Thee
As a generous offering for the so great Salvation
That You provided at Calvary

Arrest my soul if it seeks to stray
And wander off afar
But keep me Lord close to Thy breast
And find true fellowship there
I don't want to grieve the Holy Spirit
For I know that He lives in me
But use me as a vessel cleansed
So that You might receive the glory

Let us be the lights to this whole world
For great darkness is at hand
Hallelujah You are our constant hope
And on your Word praise God we stand
Irresistibly compelling is our witness
There are lost souls to be saved
Our identification with the crucified Christ
Who rose up from the grave!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
