Meaningful Life - Poem by Sharon Woods

I always dreamt of having a new life
Without a trace of the old me
I would walk down the aisles
With a smile on my face
and a sense of pride, enjoying my new life.

My new life started one night
When everything happened
like a breeze of wind
My thoughts flowing and my past passing
Hoping for the better future, it began that night

As I lived my new life,
I wondered from time to time
if I acted differently,
Would I have met my husband?
Would I have gone through the same heartaches?

Looking back my life
It was filled with dark gray autumn sky
battles against the cutting snow storms
music with the scent of the blossoms
and laughter under the hot summer sun

Very nice. I liked the last stanza the best. It hasn't been all easy, but it's been more than worth it.
