Meanings Being Invoked Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Meanings Being Invoked

Music of Diana Ross and the Supremes invoking memories of the
past when single and free, working, going to college and en-
joying life back in New Jersey.

Going to Seaside Heights every weekend, Aunt and Uncle owned
a house there, just had to go out the front door, across the
street and onto the beach.

Always having a great time with cousins, body surfing, walking
along the beach, going on rides on the boardwalk eating pizza
when hungry.

Feeling free and alive, nothing to mar the beauty of nature in
Hacklebarney either, a forest thick, filled with leaves changing
color in the fall, loving the Garden State where I was born.
